A scenic, 225 mile drive from Anchorage on the all-paved Sterling Highway ends with a breathtaking view of Homer and the renowned five-mile spit jutting into Kachemak Bay.

The halibut fishing is the best in the world near Homer, but you also get some of the best sightseeing in Alaska during your day of fishing. Smoking volcanoes, rugged uninhabited islands, snow-capped mountains, whales, sea lions, abundant seabirds, porpoises, seals, sea otters .... don't forget to bring extra film!

For the visitors to Alaska who have limited time & still want to halibut fish, there are daily flights from Anchorage scheduled, so you can fly down in the morning, have a day of fishing and return to Anchorage the same day.  We provide free airport pick up.
