The Arts ...Homer is home to dozens of galleries and artists, with a wide variety of styles and expertise. Known throughout the state as the premier artist community, Homer boasts the finest Galleries, art shopping, live performances, visual arts and exhibits. The Homer Council on the Arts is a non-profit organization providing coordination for performance and educational programs. A special attraction to Homer is the Pratt Museum, a nationally known museum and visual arts center featuring the archaeology, wildlife and cultural history of the area. Favorite attractions are feeding the octopus in the live salt water aquarium, strolling through the botanical garden, and exploring the forest trail.
